3 Reasons Why Women Should Weight Train

Over the years, researchers have found many great benefits of weight training for women. However, despite what researchers have found there is still a large number of people who believe that weight training makes women bulky, masculine, and the list goes on. I'm here to BREAK THE STEREOTYPE!

“NOT LIFTING WEIGHT BECAUSE YOU ARE AFRAID OF LOOKING LIKE A BODYBUILDER, IS LIKE NOT DRIVING YOUR CAR BECAUSE YOU FEAR BECOMING A NASCAR DRIVER”

I learned if you want to get in shape, burn that unwanted fat, and rock any outfit you want... Cardio alone won't do it. That's right, you have to pick up those weights. Why might you ask?

Number one reason why you should pick up those weights is because you’ll burn more fat! Did you know that the average woman who weight trains 2 to 3 times a week for two months will gain about 2 pounds of muscle and lose 3.5 pounds of BODY FAT? 

The second reason to pick up those weights is, you'll also burn more calories. As you build muscle you increase your resting metabolism. INCREASING your resting metabolism means your body burns more calories ALL DAY on its own. So if you want to speed up your metabolism PICK up those weight's to build muscle. 

When I was in a state of depression, I forced myself to get to the gym every day and I started lifting weights. This brings me to the third reason YOU should be lifting weights!

Lifting weights will build mental strength which fights off depression by reducing anxiety and improving mood.

You know what, let's add another benefit you will gain when weight training. Weight training doesn't only focus on muscle strength, it also strengthens your bones, joints, and tissues. Other studies have indicated that it can ease the pain of osteoarthritis. 

The proper nutrition, cardio & weight training, are the keys you will need to achieve your Body and Health Goals.
