Artists like Dru Hill, Bobby Brown, Teddy Riley, Jill Scott, and Brandy were some of the many legends that graced the stage. The killer line-up of artists wasn’t the only thing that left people talking. The true winners of the night were the ladies who came to kill the red carpet. These looks were definitely award worthy. From killer hair to designer dresses, these ladies did not come to play. There were definitely a few new trends that were set last night and we’ve got them all on lock for you. Hair:

Teyana Taylor stole the show with her wet & wavy slick back. Her fierce hair-do and sexy bodycon dress was a giant YES.

Jill Scott gave us a refreshing taste of spring with the floral arrangement that graced her tapered Afro.

KeKe Wyatt reminded us why we still love bright-colored wigs. We love how she dared to be different with matching her hair with her outfit.

Fits:

Erykah Badu would not be Erykah Badu if she did not show up rocking off-the-wall pieces. The songstress made her presence known with this yellow number and accessories.

Singer V Bozeman brightened up the red carpet with this vibrant off-the shoulder jumpsuit. The white eyeliner and turban were the perfect finishing touches.

Draya Michele kept it classy but sexy with this all lace gown. The silhouette of the dress hugged her frame perfectly.

Makeup:

The Malaysian singer/songwriter Yuna, rocked a very sultry makeup look. The red lipstick brought out her black ensemble.

Tamar Braxton’s entire look was simple yet elegant. Her light makeup brought out her naturally beautiful features.

Lalah Hathaway kept it very neutral but bronzy. The browns and golds in her makeup allowed her purple mane to pop.
