New York Fashion Week: Mens

During fashion week, women are queens of fashion, but I wanted to take the time to highlight the men that slayed, specifically black men.

Telfar Clemens, a Liberian designer known for his unisex line of fashion, was one of the featured designers earlier this week. Telfar is the name of the menswear line that was featured and the designs were truly amazing and not at all what I expected. Kudos to him and his amazing work and of course the models who gave it life. Always recognize black excellence when you see it.

Celebrities have been getting into the spirit as well. I have to say that my favorite had to be Zayn Malik attending the Tom Ford fashion show, dressed in all black looking sharp and ready to cut glass. I love a nice tailored suit

Tyson Beckford was on the runway for Michael Costello. The life featured floral print and starry nights, which makes sense because the line was inspired by a “midnight botanical bash.”

It was great to see brothers showcasing their style, but I realized this will only continue and increase with our support. So next time while looking for this vintage suspenders, support that black designer or thrift shop owner. This is just the beginning and it will only get better.
