Haute to Trot

Coming up on a Shoesday! Next to donuts nothing makes me happier than shoes! Don’t you feel the same?  I anxiously await the new trends each season and this Summer’s looks are quickly becoming my favorites.  From see through sandals too sky high metallic platforms, there’s so much to shoes, lol.  As always these looks are right on target for your wardrobe update and easy on your pockets.

Block Party

The block heel is definitely a throwback struttin their way back into to your closet like they never left. Now block heels are updated with a pointed to heel like these  (first picture in the photo gallery below) I wore for Mother’s Slay (Day).  I was blessed and snagged this last pair at my local Target on clearance for $14.66. If you like a block heel with more nostalgia check out these rounded toe heels (second picture in the photo gallery below) from Asos. At $36.00 these are priced to slay your Shoesday and save your bank account, you can check out guilt free and make buyers remorse a thing of the past.

Thigh high

If thick thighs save lives then thigh high boots are their trusty sidekick.  You’ll be saving the day and taking names with these bad boys (first picture in the photo gallery below) from Rainbow.  Plus they have a block heel, #winning! Side note, I’ve been impressed with Rainbow lately, Rainbow is releasing some really awesome styles at affordable prices and good quality. Pair these sexy thigh high peeped toe boots with a tunic or short shorts and an oversized denim jacket . Now, these (second picture in the photo gallery below) are too haute to handle and perfect for strutting on a cool summer night.  Laced up and shining, they also have a block heel so you are getting two trends in one.

Heavy Metals

Metallics are everywhere right now, on eyelids, lips, fingernails, and now your shoes. Yasssss! These metallics are bold with a mirror like finish.  For instance, take these rose gold booties. These (first picture in the gallery below) silver shoes are a winner! For an instant update to your look you can pair these with virtually any outfit and take it to the next level.  I love these OTK boots  (second picture in the gallery below) with a catsuit super sexy for a night out.

See through

Cinderella would be in heaven with this trend.  Lucite has been popping up all over, making an appearance on sandals, thigh high boots, booties and flats.  You just can’t skip this trend.  Add these to your closet now, they are the perfect balance of the lucite trend and the metallics.  Alright I have to grab these now! They are too cute and perfect with a casual romper to dress things down a bit.

EspaDRILLe Team

Espadrilles always bare their soles when the weather heats up but it seems to me this style has needed an update for quite some time and the time is now. Well take a look at these chunky platform espadrille sneaks from Steve Madden.  They are so cute and you know they will super comfortable to wear on the boardwalk with a romper or cut off shorts.

Gingham Style

Perfect for picnics and cookouts, gingham is nostalgic and just plain fun.  You can take it from being a casual print to glammed up with these.  Rock them with a black highwaisted Aline skirt and a crisp white color shirt with oversized sunnies, such a timeless look that’s perfect for church, brunch or wedding.

Get stiches

Emroberied tops and purses and embroideried platforms are so hot right now.  Floral embroidery is spruces up your platforms giving boho chic vibes.  Try these with high waisted skinny jeans and an off the shoulder loose fitting crop top.  The skinny jeans will have all eyes on the pretty deets of your shoes.  Try these from Lulus.com they are very similar to these pricier ones from Aldo so its all about how much you'd like to spend to stay on trend.

I hope you found some inspiration for Shoesday.  As you can see there are so many styles this season that anyone can fall in love and stay in Make sure you share your street style with us by tagging us on Instagram and #shoesday.
